Announced by the Government in June 2026, the ICE2EV EV Scrappage Scheme is designed to help motorists trade in older petrol and diesel vehicles and make the switch to a new electric vehicle.
Eligible customers can receive a €5,000 scrappage allowance when trading in an eligible vehicle registered in 2013 or earlier. This can be combined with the existing €3,500 SEAI EV Grant. When combined with Renault's Trade-In Booster, total savings can reach €12,500 on selected Renault electric models.
